High Toynton
High Toynton is both a village and a parish in the Wold hills, 1.5 miles east of Horncastle. Low Toynton parish lies to the north and Mareham on the Hill parish to the south. The parish only covers about 1,010 acres. The parish had a substantial allotment of land in Wildmore Fen, to the south.

- The local Anglican Church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
- An older church from the 13th century was torn down and a new one erected of sandstone on the same site in 1872.
- The church seats about 100.
