PARISH OF PHILLEIGH, CORNWALL

On this site I hope to bring together parish records and other information relating to Philleigh to assist those interested in the parish and the people that once lived here. For those interested in family history I have provided transcriptions (1600 – 1911) of the parish records. Warning - please note that the transcriptions are as accurate as possible but it is easy to misread old handwriting. Therefore please make sure you check the original records before you rely on any information from the transcriptions.

The parish of Philleigh has four hamlets, White Lanes, Treworlas, Treworthal and Philleigh. The parish is one of several that comprise the Roseland Peninsular. Philleigh is the biggest village in the parish and is the location of the local church.
