I George Dewdney of Dorking in the County of Surry Collar Maker being mindful of my Mortality do this eighth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety nine make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following First I resign my Soul to almighty God who gave it & desire to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named and I do hereby direct that all my just debts Funeral Expenses and the Costs of the Probate of this my Will and all other incident Charges be fully paid & satisfied I give and devise unto my loving Wife Hannah Dewdney all that my Messuageor Tenement with the Appurts thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the Town of Dorking aforesaid & late in the occupation of John Stanbridge deceased to hold the same unto my said Wife her Heirs & Assigns for ever I also give & bequeath unto my said Wife all my Household Goods Furniture Plate Linen & China & also my Stock in Trade and my Cash Debts & all Securities for money & all other my Personal Estate and Effects of whatever sort kind or Quality the same shall or may at the time of my death consist off (subject nevertheless to the payment of my said Debts as aforesd) To hold the same unto my said Wife Hannah Dewdney her Exors Admors and Assigns absolutely and I do hereby nominate & appoint my said Wife Hannah Dewdney sole Executrix of this my Will & Testament hereby revoking all former & other Will or Wills by me at any time heretofore made declaring this writining to be my last Will In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of paper set my hand & Seal the Day & Year above written Geo Dewdney (LS) Signed sealed published and declared by the within named George Dewdney the Testator as & for his last Will & Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witness thereto in his presence at his request & in the presence of each other.
