Finland Location: Oulu, Oulu Province
Birth Date : September 24, 1891
Comment about Family: My grandfather, Manne Jussila, was born in Oulu,
Oulu Province on September 24, 1891. His father was Helge Jussia,
his mother was Wilhelmina Pennanen, daughter of Herman Pennanen.
Their last permanent residence was in Haapajarvi. Helge immigated
to the U.S. in the early 1890's. Wilhelmina (a.k.a. Miina)and Manne immigrated
in January 1901. I found Miina and Manne's ship passenger info, but I can't find
Helge's. I'm beginning to wonder if he snuck into the U.S. I know nothing
about the family in Finland, other than they were quite poor.
Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated.
