Comment about Family: My grandfather, Manne Jussila, was born in Oulu,
Oulu Province on September 24, 1891. His father was Helge Jussia,
his mother was Wilhelmina Pennanen, daughter of Herman Pennanen.
Their last permanent residence was in Haapajarvi. Helge immigated
to the U.S. in the early 1890's. Wilhelmina (a.k.a. Miina)and
Manne immigrated
in January 1901. I found Miina and Manne's ship passenger info,
but I can't find Helge's. I'm beginning to wonder if he snuck
into the U.S. I know nothing
about the family in Finland, other than they were quite poor.
Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated.

b. 9 April 1881 and Anna Eliina Minkkinen Jaaskelainen, his wife,
b. 12 April 1890 in Hankasalmi. Her father\'s name was Ville Minkkinen.
Anna emigrated to the USA (NY on the Luisitania in March 1912) with her
infant son, Eino, who was then about 10 months old.
Herman had emigrated earlier and was living in Gardner,
MA when he sent for Anna and Eino.
I am Herman and Anna's granddaughter.
