William Craig Wallace was born 9 July 1848 in Soddy, Hamilton County, Tennessee, and graduated from King College in Bristol, Tennessee and Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. He was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in the year 1871. He spent a few years among the Indians in the Indian Territory and then was in Texas and Georgia. He moved to Panama City, Washington County, Florida in 1908 where he lived until his death 23 December 1930. He was instrumental in organizing the First Presbyterian Sunday School and was active in the County and City both before it became Bay County and after. Four of his six children lived to adulthood and some of his descendants live in Panama City today.
