Alfred Daniel Weller was born 13 February 1872 in Jacksonville, Florida. He came to Bay County in 1909 and owned Bay Fisheries, a wholesale fishing business and later owned and operated Gulf and Caribbean Fish Company in Millville and was later manager of Saunders Fisheries (located where the Shrimp Boat Restaurant is today). He was a member of the Episcopal Church and the Masonic Lodge. He died 1 June 1964 in Panama City, Bay County, Florida. Weller descendants live in Panama City today.
Mr. Weller became a certified First Families pioneer last year, but seven more of his descendants were certified this year: Molly Elizabeth Bergenroth, Walter Gentry Weller Jr., Donna O'Neal Weller, Andrew Michael Weller, Micah Lynn Weller, and David Michael Weller. None were present to receive their certificates.
