Where did this index come from?

The Town of St. Andrews was incorporated in 1908, preceding Panama City by one year. Its tax assessment rolls are among the earliest documents created for the Town. Much more than just indexes, these extractions include a complete legal description of the land for which these pioneers were being taxed.

In the spring of 2009 Jo Hanson extracted the records for the Bay County Genealogical Society from the original 1912 assessment roll book held in the permanent collection of the Bay County Public Library. In the Fall of 2011, Janice Moore Cronan completed the 1911 assessment rolls for St. Andrews. At about the same time, Diana Cochran completed the transcription of the Panana City assessment rolls.
