Q: I am attempting to locate a copy of an obituary placed in the Clearwater
Sun for my uncle, around April 16, 1981. I have figured out that the
Clearwater Sun newspaper is no longer in business, but do not know how to
proceed. Do you have any suggestions as to how I might proceed?
A: The main Clearwater Library has the Clearwater Sun back issues on microfilm
from about 1924 until its ceasing publication in the 1980's. Other local newspapers
are on microfilm at the main St. Pete Library.
