Mrs. William McClenithan died Monday morning in Arcadia of apoplexy. She was born in Alabama in 1846 and moved in infancy to Mobile. She was married in August 1867 to William McClenithan and moved to Arcadia. Five children blessed this union, three which are dead, Lula, a girl of eighteen years, Frank, a lad of 8, and a small infant. The two left are Mrs. Joe Lamar and a son Lewis. They raised 2 adopted ones, Mrs. Will Scott and John McClenithan. The deceased was raised in the Presbyterian Church having been educated in the Presbyterian College in New Orleans, but joined the Methodist Church.
