Richard M. Livingston 

-Richard Milton Livingston, 48, of Fort Myers, Fla., and formerly of Arcadia, Fla., died Nov. 30, 1999. 
-Born Dec. 24, 1950, in Arcadia, he moved to Cape Coral, Fla., 25 years ago from Fort Ogden, Fla. 
-Mr. Livingston graduated from Desoto County High School, Arcadia. Always an award-winning student, he graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Florida, Tampa, Fla., in 1971 with a bachelor's degree in education and math. 
-His many interests and hobbies included genealogy and antiques, and he was a collector and dealer of depression era glass. He researched, wrote and published the magazine "South Florida Pioneers" for several years in the late 1970s and was a well-known historian. He also loved art, gardening, orchids and cats. He leaves on cat "Ebony." 
-He was a special, gifted human being -- a devoted and loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was the best Christmas gift his family ever received and the sunshine of his life will remain with everyone forever. 
-He was a senior accountant in the finance department of the city of Cape Coral. He was a member of the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution and many other historical organizations. Mr. Livingston was a treasurer of the Dean Park Historical Association. He was a member of the Fort Ogden First Baptist Church. 
-Survivors include his mother, Janette (French) Livingston; sisters, Barbara (Harold) Thomas of Fort Ogden, Betty Walters of Fort Myers, Lorna (George) Kron of Fort Myers, and Diane French (Charles) Kulp of Orlando; brothers, Morton "Jimmie" (Carol) Livingston Jr. of Fort Ogden, Robert (Delaray) French of Orlando, and Jadene (Joe) Jackerson of Blairsville, Ga. He is preceded in death by his father, the late Morton L. Livingston Sr. 
-Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 3 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Fla. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 at the funeral home.
