Robert Earl Douglas, 73, Trailer Park, Arcadia, died Jan. 1, 1988. 
He was born Dec. 17, 1914, in Gardner and was a lifelong resident of Hardee and Desoto counties. He was a sergeant in the Air Force and a member of Gardner Baptist Church. 
Survivors include his mother, Laura of Gardner; eight brothers Fred, Edward, Russell, Lawrence 
and Glenn, all of Gardner, Lawdy of Roanoke, Ala, Lloyd of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Jak of 
Orlando; and two sisters, Julia Griffin of Hollywood, Fla. and Rosetta Douglas of Gardner. 
Visitation will be form 6:30 to 8:30 today at Robarts-Grady Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 
p.m. Monday at Gardner Baptist Church. Burial will be in Gardner Cemetery.
