Union Hill Baptist Church is located at Fairfield and 69th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida. The Church was founded in 1824 before Florida became a state. The first church had its humble beginnings under a brush arbor. This worked fairly well until they could do better. The first church building was a log cabin built around 1825. This information was taken from “A History of the Union Hill Baptist Church 1824-1997,” by Tyrus R. Roberts. These records were transcribed and typed by Carolyn Reedy.
