NEWSPAPER & CITY DIRECTORY GUIDE
Since Broward County was formed from portions of Dade and Palm Beach Counties in 1915, Broward County researchers may wish to search the records of neighboring counties. Two good sources are the the Miami Public Library and the Palm Beach County Library System. In particular, you may wish to consult the Dade County Florida Obituary Index, 1896-1930 (Ann Josberger McFadden), available at the Miami Public Library.
Newspaper Articles
The Broward County Library System
maintains a variety of current and historical newspapers on microfiche at Main Library,
100 S. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Paper copies of local newspapers are kept for three
months. The following is a partial list of what is available in the library reference
department.

In addition to the above, there was another early newspaper called the Sun-Tattler (aka The Sun & The Tattler.) Certain clippings pertaining to Hollywood are available at the Hollywood Historical Society & those that pertain to other areas are being transferred to the Broward County Historical Commission.
