The HERITAGE is the annual publication of the society. Contents include: activities of the organization, indexed records from the Dade County area, Bible records, new books in the Miami-Dade Public Library Genealogy Department, members’ ancestor charts, book reviews, research tips, local cemetery records, and free queries for members, covering families from all areas. Queries for non-members are $2.00 per 70-word query. The HERITAGE is exchanged with genealogical societies across the country, giving members the availability of publications from others areas for research. Members are invited and encouraged to submit original material for publication in the HERITAGE. Back issues are available for $3.00 each. The publication is made available online for members on a quarterly basis in electronic format (PDF) and is printed once a year and mailed to all members and exchanges.

ANCESTORS FILE
The Ancestors File is an alphabetized database to be used as a research tool. Ancestors of each member submitting a 5-generation pedigree chart are listed along with their date and place of birth, marriage, and death. Also included are the spouse and parents of each ancestor, if known. Approximately 5,000 ancestors are included in this file. Original ancestor charts and a computerized printout of the Ancestor File are brought to the meetings to allow members and guests to look to see if someone in the society is researching a common ancestry.
