How We Started
In October of 1990, an interest group of 55 assembled at Brannon Library in New Smyrna in hopes of forming a new genealogical society.
In November, they decided that they wanted to form this society. December had an even larger attendance and so it became official, January 1, 1991 was the formation of a new society, the Genealogical Society of Southeast Volusia County, Florida.
