The Hernando County Court House is located in Brooksville Florida. The courthouse has the following records:

Hernando has two incorporated towns, Brooksville and Weeki Wachee. There are several unincorporated communties in Hernando County

Bay Port (used as a blockade running port during the Civil War)
Croom (old community no longer in existence in the Withlacoochee State Forest.)
Lake Lindsay (old community, cemetery still there on County Roads 476 & 581)
Masaryktown (on the border with Pasco County on US Hwy 41)
Royal Highlands (new community)
Spring Hill (old community on the State Hwy 50 once the old Bay Port Road). A couple of houses and the Lykes house and Cemetery are all that are left of the settlement.
