Hello, I am Deborah Byrd, your host for the Hernando County GenWeb Page. Allow me to introduce myself. I am a civil engineer who works for the USDA Forest Service. I am a descendant of Malcolm C. Peterson and Rosa H. Baisden through their daughter Lelia Patience Peterson and John Andrew Albert Byrd. Their son Andrew Byrd married Catherine or Kate Burnett. This couple became my grand parents. My parents were Charles Byrd and Willow Langston . Even though I have never lived in Florida only been there once, the lives of those who settled the state have directly influenced my life through their descendants, that is why family history is important to each of us. Those that have gone before have affected our lives through children's children. If you any information which you would you be willing to share about the lives of people who have lived in Hernando county please let me know and I'll post either your information or your name as a look up volunteer. The site could really use some more data.
