Hernando County Genealogical and Historical Societies

The society publishes a monthly newsletter Links and Bridges, links to the past -- Bridges to the future. Dues for 2008 are due now.

Individual (active ) is $15.
Family membership (husband and wife) is $25.
An associate membership for out of towners is $12.

Please make checks payable to the Genealogy Society of Hernando County or GSHC and mail to P.O. Box 1793, Brooksville, FL 34605-1793.

When requesting help from GSHC, please include a SASE. There is no charge but donations are gratefully accepted.

The Genealogy Society has published "Short Record of T. B. Ellis" annotated by Roger Landers, Thomas B. Ellis wrote about his life and people he knew in Brooksville. Lived in Brooksville from 1850's to the late 1800's. The book costs $5.00 plus $1.5 for shipping and may be purchased directly from the Society.
