Directions: In Cypress, turn off hwy 90 onto Main Street. Go about .7mi, turn left onto Cemetery Ave. Go about .4 mi to Cemetery. Abbreviations: d/s double stone, s/o son of, gs/o grandson of, i/o infant of, (i/s/o-infant son of) f/o father of, m/o mother of, etc. Note: There are 42 graves without identification. These are not in alphabetical order. I typed the names in the order of the survey, it helps preserve the connection in nearby graves. ** The old Cypress Baptist Church was built on the west side of Cemetery Ave. The Cemetery was built on the west and south sides of the church. This was a one room church built in 1888 of Heart Pine limber. Inside the walls and ceiling was tongue and groove board. A few years back this church was moved to the campus of Florida Baptist Theological College. It was restored and made into a beautiful chapel. They still call it "The Cypress Church".
