Directions: Leave Sneads on River Road North and go to Butler Road. Cemetery
is on east side of River Road close to Lake Seminole waters.
Note: This Cemetery may go back to slave days. In the olden days it was
called Butler's Place. His home was here, a store, river ferry boat etc.
I
didn't look for this cemetery as the area has grown up as bad or worse than Scurlock
Cemetery.
I'm
taking the word of two old timers who saw the cemetery in the old days prior to
Lake Seminole. They said, "there had never been any headstones in this
cemetery".
Just
an abandoned cemetery and doubtful if any signs of graves now.
