Date: 98-04-28
From: evjh@tellico.net (Etta Hodges)
My name is Etta Hodges and I am looking for a death record or cemetery record
for Etta Wetherington Wester died about 1924. She was married
to Earnest Wester, they lived in Liberty County and had two children,
Leona and Leon. Earnest worked at a nearby sawmill, probably in Jackson County.
My mother Leona Wester, was born in Hosford in 1918. We think that
they were living in Liberty county when Etta died. She died during childbirth,
twins, and the babies died shortly after. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks Etta

From: SALLYNUTMG@aol.com
Decendants of Terrance Wimberly (1838-1928) and Caroline Folsom
(1842-1932) gather each year for a reunion on the 3rd Saturday in
July at the Altha Community Center in Altha, Calhoun County, Florida.
Terrance was the son of Patrick Leavey and Sarah (Sally) Gay. Patrick

PA in 1826. Settled in Jackson Co. Florida. Drowned crossing the Choctawhatchee
River on horseback around 1840 and is believed to be buried at Point Washington,

Terrance took the name Wimberly. We have record of most of Terrance

From: RLBUZZ@worldnet.att.net
(ROBERT BROUSSARD)
I am researching the family of WILLIAM STRICKLAND (born ca. 1812 in
North
Carolina) shown on the 1850 census with wife HARRIET STRICKLAND (born
ca.
1821 in South Carolina) and sons BURTON F. STRICKLAND (born 1830)
and
WILLIAM STRICKLAND (born 1835). I believe BURTON STRICKLAND
married
MARY CRAWFORD, but I have been unable to locate marriage records.
WILLIAM
STRICKLAND does not appear on the 1870 census, so he must have died
between 1860-1870. I would appreciate any information on this family as most
of my research has halted as a result of not being able to find records.
Thanks so much. Lana Broussard

Date: 98-04-17
From: wden@InfoAve.Net (Bill
Enfinger)
Daniel Enfinger came to Jackson County in the 1850's. He had at least
6
children: John, Mary, Jinsey, Thomas, Absalom and Jasper. I am looking
for information on Thomas and any thing else on any of Thomas' siblings
and Daniel. Daniel was married to Lettie (Lydia) ?. Does anyone know
her maiden name?
I am a descendant of Thomas Enfinger listed as having married Margaret Fillman in you book, also a descendant of Andrew Infinger (son of Thomas Enfinger) listed as having married Everline Reese. Andrew Infinger, or Mack as he was called, was my grandfather, Thomas Enfinger was my great grandfather.
Daniel Enfinger moved to Jackson County, Florida about 1853 or 1854. His son Thomas was listed in the 1860 census as being born in Alabama, but his next son Absalom, who was 6 at the 1860 census, was listed as being born in Florida. Daniel's wife is listed as "Lettie." I would like to know her full maiden name.
I am also looking for information on Satchie Dora White. She was born abt. 1879, she married Andrew Maston Welch abt. 1897. She died February 17, 1960 and is buried at Rocky Creek Church near Ashford, Alabama (Houston County). Thanks Bill Enfinger P. O. Box 2184 Lancaster, SC 9721-2184 803-283-8419
