Genealogy is an exciting adventure that will immerse you in the world of your ancestors where you will learn about their history and traditions within the global context. You will learn about your ancestral towns and the lives of family members, bringing back their names for future generations. And you will discover and become acquainted with living relatives you never knew existed.

Membership is open to all upon payment of dues. The categories of membership are: individual, family and associate (outside Miami-Dade and Broward counties).

Some of the benefits of becoming a member include:

• Attending monthly meetings that offer a varied program of professional and guest speakers, workshops and other activities;
  
  
• Receiving our quarterly newsletter, BRANCHES, and monthly BRANCHES Bulletins;
  
  
• Registering the surnames and towns you are researching in our computerized Jewish Genealogical Family Finder database which is circulated to all IAJGS member societies;
  
  
• Using our extensive in-house library;
  
  
• Availing yourself of other society members' expertise in a wide range of genealogical areas as well as foreign-language translation;
  
  
• Participating in our Annual Workshop, designed for beginners, as well as for intermediate genealogists; and
  
  
• Learning techniques and tips in Jewish genealogy in our one-on-one mentoring program.
