Jewish Genealogical Society of Tampa Bay

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Tampa Bay, known as JGSTB, was founded in 1999. The JGSTB holds monthly meetings at the Gulf Coast Jewish Family Services. The purpose of the JGSTB is to assist its members engaged in Jewish genealogical research. The society's activities include the following:

  1. Facilitate exchange of research information
  2. Encourage and coordinate research activities
  3. Educate members to help themselves and others
  4. Acquire and organize research materials
  5. Arrange genealogical programs and meetings
  6. Arrange genealogical tours

Upcoming Meeting

The next meeting of the JGSTB is scheduled for Sunday February 12, 2012 at 2:00PM at Gulf Coast Jewish Family Services.  The meeting will feature part 1 of The JGSTB 2012 Guide to Jewish Genealogical Research. Click here for more information!

News: IAJGS Report

The 31st IAJGS International Conference on Jewish Genealogy was held in Washington D.C. from August 14th through August 19th. JGSTB member Bill Israel attended the conference. Read his report of the conference here.
