Beginning Genealogy Course Learn how to begin searching your family genealogy. $15 donation to the Friends of the Leesburg Library. Three 3-hour sessions to be held at 9:30 am on Saturdays, August 25, Sept. 15th, Sept. 22nd. Register at the Library's 2nd floor Information Desk.

Program: KAREN JORGENSEN -Presenting Information on "FAMILY HISTORY CONFERENCE" NOVEMBER 3, 2012 in Orlando This is all-Saturday FREE program of various speakers on genealogy subjects held at Church of Latter Day Saints. During JULY and AUGUST the Society will be in recess while our members do their summer research. Return to our first fall meeting on September 16.

Friday . - Special Event at Leesburg Public Library GENEALOGY AFTER HOURS Getting the Most Out of Ancestry.com is the featured presentation at this year's Genealogy After Hours at the Leesburg Public Library. Professional genealogist Donna Moughty will demonstrate strategies used to search effectively for individuals and guide participants in understanding sources on this valuable genealogical mother lode. All library resources will be available for researching your family tree. Library staff and genealogy volunteers will be on hand to assist, 5:30-8:30 pm, Friday, November 1st at the Leesburg Public Library. Light refreshments provided. Tickets may be purchased at the Leesburg Public Library, 100 E. Main St., Leesburg, FL 34748, or ordered by mail by sending a check made out for $15 to the Friends of the Leesburg Library at the library's address, attention Carol Anderson, and including a self-addressed stamped envelope.
