Our Chapter was named after Lt. Lawrence Kearny who commanded the American Man-O-War, Enterprise.  He outsmarted the infamous pirate, Jose Gaspar, by pretending his ship was disabled and becalmed.

As the pirates neared, the ship's false sides fell away to reveal the Man-O-War.  Her gunports were open and the cannons ran smoothly.  A brief skirmish followed and the outnumbered pirates were vanquished. 

It is for the initiative and shrewd Lt. Kearny that our Chapter is named.

Meetings are at 11:30AM, usually on the third Tuesday of October through May in Cape Coral.  Reservations are required.
