James Barnett
        Ancestor of Wing Stanworth Todd Sigler

 

                                                James Barnett was born ca. 1794 in Pennsylvania and died 2 June 1877
                                                in Sago, Muskingum County, Ohio. He served as a Private in Capt. John
                                                Vance's Company, Washington County, Pennsylvania Militia in the
                                                War of 1812.

                                                James married Sarah Guthrie on 1 April 1824 in Washington County,
                                                Pennsylvania. She was born ca. 1800 in Pennsylvania and died 27 March 1885
                                                in Sago, Muskingum County, Ohio.
                                               
                                                They had seven children born in Washington County, Pennsylvania: Julianna,
                                                Eliza Jane, Ephraim, James, Sarah, Frances A., and Margaret Ann. Their child
                                                Ephraim Barnett married Emily Grace Patton and their child Jennie Grace Barnett 
                                                married William  Hanna Garrett who in turn were the parents of Edna Fern Garrett
                                                who married Elmer Wing who were the parents of my mother Marjorie Barnett Wing
                                                who married my father James Wallace Todd, MD.
