                    Eligibility:
                            Membership is available to women age eighteen and over who can offer
                            satisfactory proof that they are lineal descendants of any ancestor who,        
                            during the period of 1784-1815 inclusive, rendered civil, military or
                            naval service to our country, renedered material aid to the U.S. Army
                            or Navy, or who participated in the Lewis and Clark Expedition.  Young        
                            Young women between the ages of eighteen and thirty-five are known
                             Flora Adams Darling Daughters in honor of the Society's first president.

                            Children up to age twenty-one (21) may join this Society and shall be
                            known as Juniors. They shall be governed by the rules that govern all
                            other members, except they shall be barred from holding office and from
                            voting. These members shall be called Juniors of the NSUSD 1812.

                            Young women eighteen (18) to twenty-one (21) registered as Juniors may
                            become members of the NSUSD 1812 upon request and payment of adult
                            dues. Young men age twenty-one (21) may be referred to the General Society
                            of the War of 1812.

                                        of the United States Daughters of 1812. Authorization for use must be received             
                                        from the National Society.
