Andrew Henderson

Andrew Henderson  was born 5 November 1791 in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania and died 5 March 1874 in Ringhold County, Iowa.  He was buried in Eugene Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Ringhold County Iowa.  He was drafted in Guernsey County Ohio on 6 August 1812, and served as a Corporal in Capt. Cyrus B. P. Beatty's Company, Ohio Militia, discharged Fort Meigs Ohio on February 1813; he received a pension for his service.

Andrew married first to Susannah Baird on 3 November 1814, Guernsey County Ohio; she died before 1824 in Guernsey County.  He married second on 12 February 1824 to Barbara Work in Guernsey County. She was born ca. 1787 PA. One child of Andrew and Susannah was John A. Henderson, born 1817 in Gurensey County OH and died 10 February 1900; buried in Tingley Cemetery, Tingley IA. He married second in Guersney County to Sarah Stewart on 14 October 1850. Sarah was born March 1831 OH and died 23 March 1901 in Tingley IA. They moved to Ringhold County IA after 1870.
