·         Egbert Womack, son of Jas. W. and Sallie C his wife. Died at Mountain View; Prince Edward Co., Va. June 9,1891. (cause - .consumption.) Was buried at Aspen Grove, Old Wilson Place, Cumberland Co. Va. June 11, 1891.

·         Martha Womack, daughter of Jacob H. and Mary J. Morton and wife of Egbert Womack died Jan. 8, 1896. (cause – paralysis.) Was buried at Aspen Grove, Cumberland Co. Va.

·         Charlotte Hewitt Newcomb, daughter of Jas & Pauline Newcomb died Sept. 27,1893 in San Antonio, Texas. 

·         Nora Womack, daughter of ,Nathaniel C. and Laura C. Wilson and wife of James W. Womack, died Feb 26, 1901. (cause – typhoid fever.)  Was buried in Farmville Cemetery Prince Edward. Co., Va.

·         George Morton Newcomb, son of James and Pauline Newcomb died November 23, 1902 in San Antonio, Texas. (cause – Diphtheria.)

·         James Womack, son of Egbert and Martha M. Womack died May 17,1925. (cause – acute Brights disease.)  Was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, Virginia.

NEWSPAPER OBIT

 

Womack. – Died, at the home of her son, near Farmville, Va., on the 8th of January, Mr. (sic) Martha Womack, wIdow of the late Egbert Womack.

Her death was sudden, only a few days sickness but found her prepared. For many years she had been a consistent member of the Presbyterian Church.  So a life of earnest faith and devotion closed with a quick and sudden entrance into that realm of joy and peace which await all those who die in the Lord.  She leaves a large circle of relatives and devoted friends to mourn her loss.  Pastor

·         Pauline Womack Newcomb, wife of Jas. Newcomb and daughter of Egbert & Martha M. Womack died April 20, 1921 at Westbrook Sanitarium, Richmond, Va.  (cause – Intestinal Tuberculosis).  Was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.

·         Mattie W. Womack, wife of Jas. W. Womack and daughter of  N. C. & L. C. Wilson, died April 3, 1928 at Suffolk, Va. and was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.

·         Frank Wilson Womack, died Oct. 29, 1947 in Suffolk, Va. age 56.  Buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suffolk, Va.

MEMORIAL

 

Mrs. Ella WomackSuffolk, Mrs. Ella May Price Womack, 77, of 914 Bishop Place died Sunday at 6:15 a.m. in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

                A native of Campbell County, she was a member of Suffolk Presbyterian Church and its Women of the Church Circle 2, of which she was a past president.  She also was past worthy matron of Sinai Eastern Star Chapter 8.

                She was the widow of Frank Wilson Womack and a daughter of William Daniel and Mrs. Bette Jones Price.

                Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stanley Hines, and a son, Frank Wilson Wormack, Jr., both of Suffolk; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

                A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2pm in I. O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles L. Landrum, Jr.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.  The family will be at 914 Bishop Place.
