Pastfinders' Annual Christmas Dinner

Our guest speaker for the evening was Doulass White of A-1 Auction Service in Orlando. A-1 is now 20 years old and Doug holds several auctions a year and also does a show in North Carolina. He brings all of that experience to his appraisals of the antiques and collectables that we brought. Nobody brought anything that would make them independently wealthy but we did hear some high three figure numbers. Items included books, jewelry, china, glassware and some old battery chargers and radios. The photo at the right shows Doug describing some very ornate glassware brought in by Marilyn Knight. As usual, it was a very interesting evening and Pastfinders would like to thank Doug and his wife Paula for spending the evening with us.

There were 33 Pastfinders and guests present at the annual Christmas Dinner held at the Crown and Shield restaurant on the Monarch Golf Course at The Royal Highlands in Leesburg. Members chose from Prime Rib, Chicken Oscar or Baked Stuffed Fish and topped it off with key Lime Pie.

We started with a blessing offered by Marilyn Knight. After dinner we had a drawing for the gifts that were brought by the officers. We also awarded two fresh baked loaves of bread donated by Joan Gathings and four of the five flower arrangements that were made by Dotty Dill. And following tradition, we awarded a year's membership which went to Alden Knight.
