This is Bill's maternal grandfather.
He was born 8 Oct 1857 in Tompkins Cove, Rockland, New York, one of the 10 children of Patrick & Mary (Keenan) Deegan
who were Irish immigrants. Married to Ruth Rose Roach of
Brooklyn, Kings, New York in 1881,
he served as a City of Brooklyn, New York patrolman from 1891-1912. After retiring he returned to Tompkins Cove, his birthplace until his death in July of 1942. |
