![]() Clay Today: July 25, 2011 Sophia Fleming Chapter Ways & Means Chairman Betty Bogusch coordinated a garage sale that raised money for this year’s scholarship winners. In addition, Betty spearheaded a project making jewelry cases that were sold at FSSDAR Fall Forum and State Conference. For the 2nd year, a Chapter member anonymously donated $500 towards the scholarship fund. The chapter’s Scholarship Committee judged the applications based on a written essay, awards, recognitions, community service, and letters of recommendation. The $500 winners were Alyssa Marshall, Fleming Island High School; Haley McKissak, Orange Park High School; and Joshua Williams, Keystone Heights High School. Receiving $250 was Joseph Berk, Ridgeview High School. The post-secondary school of choice will administer tuition and supplies for each winner. |
