Biography
Gladys Friedman Paulin, CGSM specializes in post civil war research,
immigration topics, and Jewish genealogy. She is editor of OnBoard, the
Newsletter of the Board for Certification of Genealogists and is a trustee of
the National Institute of Genealogical Research Alumni Association. She has
served in many positions of responsibility including vice president of the
Genealogical Speakers Guild, president of the Jewish Genealogical Society of
Greater Orlando, and director of the International Association of Jewish
Genealogical Societies (IAJGS). She speaks regularly at national, state and
local conferences and presents half and full day workshops. She publishes a
surname newsletter and has been published in Avotaynu, the International Journal
of Jewish Genealogy and various newsletters. A graduate of Cornell University,
she has attended both the National Institute of Genealogical Research in
Washington, DC and the Institute for Genealogy and Historical Research at
Samford, AL.
