Biography

Ann Staley, CGRS, is a professional genealogist, instructor, lecturer at local, state and national conferences and has been a Certified Genealogical Records Specialist since 2000. Ann has been researching her family for 23 years and has traced her ancestors from Alabama, Mississippi and Virginia to France, England and Germany. She is the Conference Chairman for the Florida State Genealogical Society (FSGS); Education Chairman and Webmaster for the Jacksonville Genealogical Society, Inc.; and was the Exhibits Chairman for the FGS/FSGS 2003 Conference. She is the recipient of the 1997 FSGS "Genealogy Outstanding Achievement Award" and the 2002 FSGS President's Citation Award. Ann is a graduate of the National Institute on Genealogical Research (NIGR) in Washington, D.C and the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a member of the National Genealogical Society, Association of Professional Genealogists, Genealogical Speakers Guild, Florida State Genealogical Society, Southern Genealogist's Exchange Society and life member of the Jacksonville [FL] Genealogical Society, Inc.
