Bonita Springs Cemetery
More than a century old, the cemetery is located on Imperial Street, just south of Bonita Beach Road. It belongs to the First Baptist Church of Bonita Springs and the First United Methodist Church of Bonita Springs.
The cemetery originated as a place for the pioneer Walker family to be buried. They eventually deeded the cemetery to the two churches as a place for other Bonita pioneers, including veterans, to be buried.
The churches declared a moratorium in 2002, allowing interment for those with spouses already buried there, and those who had already reserved a spot for themselves.
