Tallahassee Genealogical Society Launches Leon County Heritage Book Project The Tallahassee Genealogical Society is sponsoring a Leon County Heritage Book project and is seeking stories from everyone who has lived in Leon County, whether for just a week or from birth. Stories of ancestors, stories of adventure or human-interest stories are welcome. Current residents, former residents or those whose ancestors lived in Leon County are urged to submit stories and photographs. Tell the stories you remember hearing from your family or tell your own. Target completion date of the Leon County Heritage book is December 2010. Copies may be purchased through Heritage Publishing Consultants Publisher via their website at http://heritagepublishing.net or by completing the attached form. still being accepted... UPDATE 10/26/2009 The Leon Co. Heritage Book committee met this
evening and tallied the story submissions we have for the book.
FINAL: Story submission deadline has been extended to May 31, 2010. Also you might want to consider purchasing the Leon
County Book at the pre-publication rate of $53.75.
