At 3:00 p.m. we begin our community genealogy help sessions. This is an opportunity for members and non-members to work on their family histories with help and guidance form experienced, seasoned members of the Society.
Notice of upcoming meetings and program topics.
We are continually adding to our collection of books, pamphlets, and periodicals now housed at the Leon County Public Library.
Our official journal mailed quarterly to members containing educational articles, society news, queries, local research, and book reviews.
On an ongoing basis, members abstract and transcribe data from locally available sources to preserve and publish the records. Current projects include a survey of local church records, census records and family Bible records.
These occur in conjunction with the regularly scheduled meetings at which small groups form for special interest sessions.
Sponsored bi-annually, nationally-known individuals are invited to lecture on various genealogical topics at an all-day Saturday session.
