Hopefully, this public acknowledgment will reach everyone we have not been able
to personally see and thank. The family of W. A. "Heck" Lynn Published in the
Tallahassee Democrat on 2/4/2007.
The Lynn family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Riverside Marina Boat Captains for their thoughtfulness and generosity shown to honor our Husband, Father, and Gramps; a.k.a "Captain Heck". The teak wood benches that you had built for the St. Marks Park are absolutely beautiful and the bronze nameplates just set them off. We can picture in our minds eye, Gramps sitting under those big beautiful oak trees watching the river flow with his half cup of coffee wishing each and every one of you good luck fishing and calm seas. We appreciate Gail Warren for heading up such a memorial and Rudy Snyder, Walter Clark, Neil Brooks, Gus McEachen, Cris Dunham, Marvin Redman, Robert Walsh, Billy Bishop, Jim Polson, Joe Land, Chip Coffin, Jerry Wilford, Mike Johnson, Steve Bennett, Danny Culbreth and anyone else whom we may have missed, who participated in having the benches built and set up in the park in honor of W. A. Lynn, Sr.; "Captain Heck".
