Location: Off East Fairgrounds Road, by the river.
Notations by Evan Strohl, Chairman, West Florida Genealogical Society Cemetery Committee, on November 30, 2008 and revised on March 23, 2009.
Directions: From the intersection of C-95 (Old Palafox Hwy.) and Molino Road (C-182), travel east for 1.4 miles to Jahaza Road and turn right. Continue for 0.4 miles to Fairgrounds Road and turn left. Drive east toward the Escambia River, crossing the RR tracks, for about 0.5 miles. Notice the Marlow Machine Ship (a blue painted building) off to the right. The cemetery is along the south side of this building. There is a road called Yuhasz Road, which runs south off Fairgrounds Road, which runs right past this cemetery.
CAUTION: This is a private cemetery, on private property, and we were asked NOT to visit at this time.
In October of 2008, David “Pete” LAIL, an old resident of Molino, called me about finding a man named Richard Marlow. When I cited him the location of Pugh’s Chapel A/G cemetery in Molino, he corrected me and began to tell me the story of the Marlow Family Cemetery. Soon we met in Molino and he showed me its location. He had already called the Marlow family, but they were not interested in our visiting this cemetery at that time. We were informed that Mr. Marlow, Sr. had started this cemetery after a tragic automobile accident involving his son, Danny, and grandson, Drew.
After driving past this cemetery in March 2009, all I could see was two sets of double headstones.
We will verify the interred when the family allows us.
