Who are we?

Wakulla Genealogy Group is an auxiliary group of the Wakulla County Historical Society. We strive to preserve history through genealogical research and to educate our interested individuals in the process of research. We meet the first Thursday of each month, September through May, at 6:30. Meeting location is the Wakulla County Public Library, which is located in Medart on US 319 South. During the summer months we meet the first and third Thursday evenings at 6:00 for our summer genealogy series. This series is a class on various aspects of learning how to conduct your research, as well as different places you can research. These classes are free and held at the Wakulla County Public Library.

What is our goal?

Our goal is to assist other genealogists in their search for information in our area of Florida and document and preserve our own family heritage.
