The Georgia Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists was established in 2004 and formally charted by APG in March 2005. The Georgia chapter promotes professionalism in genealogical research through meetings, discussions of topics of interest, and agreeing to the APG Code of Ethics. Membership in APG is required to be a local member.
