Thursday evening, August 1st, Mr. G. W. Livingston and Mrs. D. Beach
Tippins were quietly married at the Methodist parsonage at Hazlehurst, Rev.
S. A. Hern officiating, immediately returning after the marriage to their
home in Graham. It was thought to be a private affair but somehow had
"leaked out" and quite a large crowd were gathered at the parsonage to
witness the ceremony.
Mr. Livingston is a young man of untarnished
reputation and high social standing, and for several years has held a
prominent position with the Southern Railway Company, and at present owns a
successful mercantile business in Graham.
The bride is the talented and
popular postmistress at Graham. She has scores of friends in this section
who will join The News-Banner in extending hearty congratulations.
