Larry Lee (Bulldog) Holton, age 50, of Alma, died
early Thursday morning, May 12, 2005 at Satilla
Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
He was a native of Bacon County, son of the late M. C.
Holton, was in the timber business as a logger and a
member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Kathleen Rewis Holton of
Alma; his wife, Brenda Medders Holton of Alma; three
sons; Larry Shawn Holton, Casey Lee Holton and wife
Michelle and Audie Holton, all of Alma; one daughter,
Kelli Holton of Alma; one brother, Jody Holton and
wife Michelle of Alma; three sisters; Carolyn
Clements and husband Pee Wee of Nicholls, Janice
Simmons of Alma and Wendy Holton of Tomoca, Washington
and two grandchildren, La’Shell and Brody Holton both
of Alma.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14, 2005 from
the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Barth
and Rev. Herman Moore officiating. Interment followed
in Pine Lawn Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Gary Holton, Ricky Music, G.
C. Waters, Ronnie Rewis, Cabe Cartledge, Jamie and
Ken Rigby. Honorary escorts were Benny and Arlene
Hatten, Eddie Andrews, Harold Thomas, Chris Anderson,
Michael and Judy Anderson, David Gurley, James &
Shirley Davis, Johnny and Pete Rewis, Neil Medders,
Rev. R. B. Gaskin, Ronnie Rickerson, Ricky Taylor,
Keith Holton and Brad Carter.
Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
