Samuel Mills Drury, Jr. was born in Camden County, Georgia, March 29, 1847 to Samuel Mills Drury and his wife, Sarah Ann Harrell.  He married LouDycie "Ludicy" Ammons, March 19, 1872, Wayne County daughter of John Ammons and Mary Eudicy Lewis.  She was born September 18, 1850, and died July 16, 1925.  Samuel died February 24, 1930 in Brantley County .  They are buried in Ammons-Spell-Warner Cemetery north of Atkinson , Georgia .

Samuel Mills Jr.  enlisted into the Confederate Army in the summer of 1864, as a private in Company B., 29th Battalion Georgia Military.  He was separated in April 1865.   Children of Samuel and Mary are:

 1. Lillia Roseline, born January 12, 1873, died November 16, 1904, single.

 2. George Wesley, born December 08, 1874 and died April 24, 1928.  He married Virginia "Jennie" Reddish, daughter of Drury "Drew" Reddish and Sarah Clary.  She was born June 01,1875 and died March 17, 1963.  They are buried in Ammons-Spell-Warner Cemetery , just north of Atkinson , Georgia .

 3. Frances Elizabeth, born January 17, 1878, died September 28, 1955, married Henry Hilton, March 12, 1899 in Wayne County .

 4. Samuel Abner, born March 05, 1879, died September 13 1880, infant

 5. Emma Elizabeth, born July 30 1881, Wayne County, died May 25, 1968, Brantley County .  She married Charles Shuler Kizer, December 12, 1912, son of Ellis Reuben Kizer and Emma Isabelle Shuler.  He was born January 25, 1888 in Dorchester County , South Carolina , and died February 12, 1969 in Ware County .  They are buried in Hortense Cemetery , Hortense , Georgia .

 6. Hattie Lou Dycie, born September 04, 1884, Wayne County, died August 04, 1976, Glynn-Brunswick Hospital, Brunswick, Ga.   She married James Breckinridge Kelly, July 13, 1902, Wayne County , son of Arthur Berry "Artaberry" Kelly and Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Willis.  He was born October 20, 1881 in Wayne County and died June 26, 1959, Keysville , Georgia .  They are buried in Smyrna Cemetery , Lulaton , Georgia .

 7. Adoph Mills, born July 15, 1887, (twin) died April 28, 1975; married Maggie Mae Ellis

 8. Sarah Ann, born July 15, 1887, (twin) died August 05, 1887, infant.

 9. Jefferson Woodfin, born January 29, 1890, died January 24, 1934; He married Effie Lillian Coleman, daughter of I.F. Coleman and Texas Stamper.  She was born January 16, 1891 in Damacus , Georgia , and died January 28, 1983 in Glynn County , Georgia .  They are buried in Hortense Cemetery .
