Levi J. Strickland, Jr. was born December 08, 1844 to Levi J. and Mary Ann (Lee) Strickland in Wayne County and died June 07, 1892 ; Levi married Margaret Ellen Munden, daughter of James and Elender (Strickland) Munden. She was born May 01, 1850 , died August 25, 1924 in Wayne County , Georgia .  They are buried in High Bluff Cemetery , Brantley County , Georgia .

Levi J. Strickland Jr. enlisted into the Confederate Army on April 10, 1862, as a private in Company 3, 26th Georgia Volunteer Infantry.  He was separated on November 14, 1864.  Margaret Strickland widow of Levi J. Strickland of Co.D 4^th GA CAV, filed for a pension in Wayne County .  

Children of Levi and Margaret Strickland are:

 1)      Annie Laura, born May 21, 1871 , and died December 05, 1933 , married John Samuel  “Sam” Jacobs, February 06, 1890 , son of Bryant and Mary (Howe) Jacobs; He was   born November 14, 1869 in Wayne County and died April 20, 1946 .  Annie and Sam  are buried in New Hope Cemetery , Hickox Community, Brantley County .

2)  Mary J., born June 17, 1876 , died August 08, 1950 ; married John F. Courson; Mary is  buried at High Bluff Cemetery , Brantley County . 

 3) Owen Levy, born March 06, 1878, died November 24, 1936; married Martha Jane Crews; born July 1874, died December 10, 1946.  They are buried in High Bluff  Cemetery.
