Lewis Thomas, II was born November 09, 1830 in Ware County and died August 28, 1893 .  Lewis was born to Lewis Thomas I, and Elizabeth Mixon Thomas.  He married Prussia Ann “Prucie” Eason in 1851, daughter of George and Elizabeth (Leggett) Eason.  She was born November 26, 1835 in Appling Co, y , Georgia and died January 07, 1919 .  They are buried in Spring Hill Cemetery in Brantley County , Ga.  

Lewis Thomas enlisted into the Confederate Army on May 5, 1862, as a Private in Company K, 54th Georgia Volunteer Infantry.  He was separated from service on January 22, 1864.  Prucia, widow filed for a pension.

2)      Eliza, born October 11, 1856 ; died December 14, 1934 ; married Stephen A. Spence,                 January 06, 1875 ; born May 06, 1854 ; died November 09, 1931. 

3)      Laban L., born 1859 married Mary Ann Spence, March 16, 1883, born 1860; daughter of Moses W. Spence. 

4)      Ransom, born 1861; married Amanda Davis, daughter of Charlton S. Davis, born abt 1865. 

5)      Lewis Lafayette, born 1864; married America Bennett, March 12, 1885; daughter of Braxton Bennett, born 1872. 

6)      Emmaline “Emma”, born, April 1866, Appling County, GA; died August 16, 1908; married Samuel R. Rhoden December 08, 1881; He was born December 1853 and died November 1933; They are buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Hoboken, Georgia. 

 7) Sarah Laura, born February 20, 1868; died September 18, 1943; married (1) James    N. Raulerson, February 04, 1884; born abt. 1865; (2) Wright Permenter, born April  30, 1865 of Echols County, Ga. 

 8) Martha Elizabeth, born 1870, married Joshua L. Spence, December 20, 1885 ; born 1859. 

 9) Mary Clifton “Mollie”, born January 15, 1872, died December 29, 1939; married  John William Hanchey, February 11, 1891; January 15, 1864 North Carolina; died February 03, 1923 Brantley Co.  They are buried in Spring Hill Cemetery ,   Hoboken , GA.  

10) James R., born October 05, 1873 ; died November 03, 1928 ; married Willie Lou  Morrison, September 22, 1896 , born May 16, 1882 ; died October 07, 1972.   11) Cora A., born 1877; married Randall Cobb, January 03, 1891 ; born 1868.  

12) Thomas Mitchell, born 1879; married Jetty Reddish; born abt. 1880.
