BROOKS CEMETERY

  The old Brook Cemetery on the Ward plantation, formerly known as the McIntosh Reserve, is among the oldest in the County.  There are many graves, but only ONE is marked. The inscription on the marble slab reads:
"Sacred to the memory of MRS. SALLY BROOKS, departed this life Sept. 15, 1832, age 28 years."
She was a member of Sandy Creek Church.
