Lookups:

If anyone has any resources that they are able to do lookups, please let me know.

We are always looking for volunteers.

When requesting a lookup, always put Calhoun county lookup in the subject line.  Give only one request at a time.  Also many of these volunteers either go to a library or have the items at home.  Be patient they will respond to your requests as soon as possible.

Christine Martin: I go to the library a couple of times a month.  I can do lookups in:

( I can accept more than one name, but please limit to 10 surnames)

Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia, Vol 1-10 (mostly eastern side of Georgia)

Georgia Census records for entire state, dates 1820-1930  (need specific name, preferably a wife's name, county, and city/township, as much information as possible to aid my search for you)

Against Oblivion: A History of Calhoun County

Rosters of Confederate Soldiers, Vol 1-8

1864 Georgia Census (For reorganizing the Militia)

Georgia Death Index 1919-1998 (all counties)

(New item:  Lookup notes, as I have done lookups over time I find tidbits that maybe helpful to researchers of the same name.  Check out this misc items page)

Gerry Hill and Keila

Will provide information on the Brown and Aycock families in Calhoun county

Galen Chambers:
