John McLarty Sr Will
Will written 21 December 1852 -- Located now in the Court of the
Ordinary, Fulton County.
In the name of God amen. I John McLarty Senr of the County of
Campbell and State of Georgia, being weak in body but of sound and
perfect mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do
make and publish this my last Will and Testament. First I give and
bequeath unto my devoted wife Mary McLarty Snr. all of the tract of
land I now live in during her natural life and at her decease to be
the property of my son Archibald N. McLarty with all the buildings
and appurtenances thereof I moreover Will to my said wife my Negro
man Anthony and my Negro girl Loucinda. My two mules, all my stock
of cattle and hogs for ever in fee simple to be her own right and
property and to dispose of in any way she may think proper. I
likewise give to my eldest son Alexander McLarty five dollars. I
give to Samuel W. McLarty five dollars. I give to my son John
McLarty five dollars. I give to my son Stephen H. McLarty five
dollars. And to my daughter Caroline Morris five Dollars. And to
my son Archibald N. McLarty five Dollars. And I will to my daughter
Margaret Maxwell five Dollars, which said several legasies of sums
of money I will and order shall be paid to the respective legatees
within six months after my decease. And lastly I give the remainder
of all my property of every kind whatsoever to my beloved wife Mary
McLarty after paying my just debts. And lastly I appoint my sons
Samuel W. McLarty, and Archibald N. McLarty sole Executors of this
my last Will & Testament and hereby Revoking all former wils by me
made. This given under my hand and seal the 21st day of December
1852. Signed and sealed and delivered in Presence of Test. Going
